The USAFSS was a major command that has been re-organized out of existence. Its functions
are now performed by the Air Intelligence Agency.
Specialized in astronomy & astrophysics. Trained & qualified to operate the university's
4-Mev Vandegraff accelerator facility. Trained & qualified as radiation safety monitor
for accelerator experiments. Aside from required core courses, electives included
nuclear and solid state physics, optics, radiation health physics, and laboratory
experience in low temperature calorimetry.

Included experience as graduate teaching assistant for undergraduate laboratory courses.
Elective courses included general relativity, geophysics, and quantum chemistry.

EOS/ASTER Project. 2001 NASA Group Achievement Award for work on the ASTER Project. 2002 - Now Software engineer and science data analyst, Center for Long Wavelength Astrophysics.
Life Member Jan 1988 - Dec 2003 Member, Board of Directors. 1993, Secretary. 1990 - 1992, 1997 - 2002, President. 1989, 1991, 1992, 2000-2004 - Awards for club education & service. 2004 - Lifetime Achievement Award.
