The "devastated Area" is not so devastated anymore. But there is a good, short, interpretive trail to walk along that describes how the region has recovered from the blast that gave it the name "Devastated".
Subway Cave is an old lava tube. Pictures from inside are too dark; there are no lights, and my digital camera flash just doesn't cut it. I might have gone back with my non-digital Canon A-1, but it was a long day. Maybe another trip.
